Au Pair and Nanny Workshops Comprehensive and informative nanny / au pair training workshops
are designed to equip you with all the tools of your trade to perform as an au pair or a nanny with an Australia based family or as a basis to help you secure a position in one of our exotic overseas destinations.
Once you have completed the training you should be able to:
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of a nanny / au pair
- Enhance the further development of children
- Guide children’s behaviour by using appropriate behaviour techniques
- Ensure client service standards and code of practice are met
- Follow appropriate health and safety procedures
- Organise / plan experiences for children
- Understand the legal requirements of your position
- Develop, implement and promote effective communication techniques - relating to employer, family and children
- Set suitable routines and programs for the day
- Respond to illness, accidents and emergencies
- Foster children's self help skills
- Interact positively with children
- Support the rights and safety of children within duty of care guidelines.
- Upon completion of the workshop you will receive:
- Certificate of Completion
- Written reference of your suitability as a childcarer and phone reference
- Opportunity to be placed with our families and available nanny / au pair positions
- Opportunities to gain on the job work experience
